welcome to the asf and congrats on a great first car. a great way to learn is the way your doing it....hands-on on your own ride.

i cant see your pics unless i log in to facebook....and that aint going to happen because that site is run by the devil!!!

you need to right click on the image, copy \"properties\", and come here and paste it and put [ img ] before and [ /img ] after the pasted script. sorry i cant describe it any better than that, hopefully you'll figure it out.

there is a huge show & cruise this weekend that you must attend....

Thats great!, I gotta get all the gear for lowering the front a bit, do they have the pentronix ignition boxes there? I hear they are alot cheaper than msd, I work at lordco and the best I can get is about 200$ bucks and I wont be working there much longer.  How many things do I need to replace to put the box in. coil?

you've just got to spend a little time browsing and reading and you'll be able to find out most of what you need to know. ;)

Great looking car, Cole. It looks extremely stock right down to the Chrome Blue paint (correct for '69), so think twice about going too crazy with the mods. If the car is as clean and unmolested as it looks in the photos, it's worth a few bucks, and most non-original modifications would likely devalue it somewhat.
Let me know if you need any Ghia-specific info or advice.

PS: Check your engine displacement. Stock for 1969 was an H-code 1500.

I think I will keep it mostly original, but just do a few things to it Minor things that can be reversed.  I put some sound in it but I put it under the back seat and kept the stock AM radio, that way know one knows its there and it doesn't get stolen!  but slightly lowered might be nice I think

How much do you figure a Ghia of that age and condition is worth?,  Ikm guessing around 6-8k? I got mine for 4.  it is pretty much stock except little things I have done (all removable).  I am looking to get a pre 67 bus next, being a drummer and having lots of friends without cars I might need a more practical ride haha.  Anyone wanna trade?   ;)

If the car's as good as it looks, I'd say at least thatmuch on the open market. More, if that paint is the original factory spray and there's not to much wear and tear on the interior.
Will you be bringing it to the Great Canadian Show? I'd like to see it in person.

I'd say that's a pretty optimistic estimate. the 69 Ghia I had was in similar or slightly better shape, and it had the original 1500. It was for sale for $2800 for ages before they accepted my offer of $2500. I ended up selling it for a bit more than I paid, but the interest in it was not that high. A car is worth what someone will pay for it, which is usually not that much.

I didn't say \"locally\".
The Vancouver market is glutted with good cars and un-educated buyers.
You cannot get fair market value selling locally, we all know that.
