Title: Sealers
Post by: Aircooled Angel on June 21, 2007, 07:37:27 PM
Hi guys,

After sitting apart in the basement for the last 3 years, I'm finally putting my 2110 back together.  I'm sorting through all my parts, and bits and pieces, got the crank all assembeled case cleaned up etc etc.  But I dug up some of my old assembly lube, loctite etc etc.  Just wondering what everyone is using for sealers these days.  In the past I was using Loctite 518 on the case halfs, and Permatex Hylomar under the jugs, and a few other places, but I can't  find hylomar anywhere over here on the island anymore?  Any suggestions for replacement?  I know everyone has their own prefernece but lets here it.
Mike

Permatex Aviation black snot sealant  for the case halves have worked extremely well for me.  I've used Kleen flo quik gasket (Elastomeric silicon) and it works great. Same sorta stuff like permatex \"right stuff\"
