Title: Inovate Wideband
Post by: Billyisgr8 on June 18, 2007, 02:59:15 PM
So how many of you, who use the Innovate wideband  portable, wished you bought a permanent guage model?  Just trying to decide if I want the put it in and leave it, or want a large box to tote around...  I am thinking of getting a dash mount guage model...

Let me know what you think or have thought about what you have... portable, or permanent.

i have no personal experience with either, but i have seen more portable used over permanent.

can you still record data and download it to a laptop with the permanent model? how about auxilarly inputs (rpm, clutch engage, etc)? i would think that these extras would be very beneficial for tuning.

you really need the Auxbox  with a laptop to do a big range of tests

sounds like a worthwhile purchase. especially when racing so you can record, download and view your data (a/f ratios, rpm, shift changes, etc) to find out exactly where & when your making power and fine tune from there.

most people purchased the lm-1 unit, the portable one, before many of the fixed install products were available

I have the lc-1, xd-16 guage and the lma-3 module, its a great tool, many aux inputs and outputs, the only thing is you require a laptop to data log, where the lm-1 stores it onboard and downloads later.

right....i misunderstood gary's post. you need to actually have the laptop on board to log data.

imho recording and logging that data during a 1/4 mile run is priceless, so the portable lm-1 would be best in that situation.

Well I bought a wego II unit with display instead... has what I wanted.  I didn't find this one till a few days after this post. It has a bright display which is what I really wanted and  data logging
