Title: Using 6v Gauges On A 12v System?

i've a 1970 Ghia and i'm going to be ordering a older dash and cutting it in, pre-67 and i'm not sure when the 6v conversion was but i know we'd have to get the older guages, can they be adapted and used in a 12v system?

which gauges? older speedo and gas are mechanical so you just switch out the 6v lights for 12's. not sure about tach though.
