I bought this Yellow '64 in Richmond back in 1977, but it was too rusted out (at least that's what I thought back then) so I hacked it into pieces.

I was itching to rebuild my first VW motor, so I tore apart the stock 1200 and put the 83mm Bigbore kit with a 1600 cam and Holley Bugspray carb. Man did this motor ever go!

Note the \"dash\" is from my old Bunk Bed. This was before I mounted the Speedo..... :lol:
I actually drove this to work one day (Pizza Pieman), but had to get towed home, because it rained and the vent punched in the gas can
allowed water to get in and the engine died after a few minutes of running.
