should have a nice stance when the front is lowered and ive got to do something about josh's throttle return springs

congrats on the new ride.
-

good show.
-
congrats.
With that engine, that body, and those tire, you should get a subscription to your local tire store for frequent buyers. :D
looking forward to viewing it at the next show.
-
Nice clean engine install.
-
sweet ride ...
-
Sad to see it go, wife's not too happy her \"Lucy\" is leaving ( I keep telling her it hasn't been named lucy since the 1200, since the 2 liter it's been named Lucifer)
I'm sure you'll have a blast with the car, I sure did. If you really don't like my lead foot springs I have an idea on how to loosen them up a bit but keep the function.
-
Josh you do good work
-
thanks mang, I try
-
yea attribute all the work to josh not me lol
i like the spring function but do need to be loosened a bit for me lol
-
we can cut a couple loops out of them for ya, that'll help. how ya makin' out with parts?
-
alot more are out of stock than we thought, no adjusters, inner bearings and no link pin set
-
we can use the other adjusters, lots of people run 'em. did you try shane/ chris yet? CIP's kinda crappin' out lately. I'd like to support those guys, you'd just have to deal with the shipping.
-
im going to send them a list lol, also going to go down to the local place here and get some prices
-
cool, keep me posted, did you get my pm about the king pins vs links?
-

I like it. It is like the evolution or resurection or something of his old Bug.
I would like to think that my old bug lives on every other bug that has a part of it.
WOW!
-
i thought it was a pretty creative idea
altho im debating remaking it with a still from the video of it burning
-
haha that's pretty good, just remember our little conversation no torching my car
-
dont worry, this one isnt red
:D
-
Im just going to paste the same thing i wrote in the other forum.
Thats great, i remember when your super burnt to a crisp. I saw it last summer on the hook in chilliwak or abbotsford, i cant remember, just off the #1, it must have just been purchased from the auction and heading to new owners shop. Then i saw it again either later that day or a couple days later in front of a shop in POCO.
your new beetle looks great.

and the drop

2\" narrowed beam done and installed, gives 'er a better stance ;)
-
ahhh much better
-
oh that tuck is so nice
dont think i even need the drop spindles
great work josh, dont have any pics of the beam with the work done to it do you? ie: no in the car
-
I thought about snappin a few but I was too greasy to handle the cam, you wouldn't think a beam would be completly jam packed full of grease, I think someone was a little generous with the grease gun.
-
didnt you put it back together? lol
-
yeah but I never in the 4 years that i have owned it even thought of lubing the front end.
-
and here was my co-pilot for the drive home

-
right on ya made it  how'd she run for you? are the throttle returns any better? oh ya before I forget on the way home my brother told me when he was following me that one of the brake lights was out B)
-
throttle was great, peeled the tires a bit getting off the ferry
pops decelerating are noticeably smaller and my god do i love merging in this car
60 to 100 in 30seconds
-
30 seconds????????? boy drop the hammer and hold on she'll scream up there a lot faster than that! bring 'er back for some driving lessons anytime

you know what i ment!
lol, i was driving it around and only putting the pedal down till it acted like my old 1600 would, then i realized i had alot farther to go on the pedal :D then the drive got REALLY fun
-
good shit
-
hey, is there any way at all to lock the passenger door?
-
in the parking lot to get insurance someone offered to buy the car off me
i think it had legally been in my name for an hour
-
for locking it take a rope tie it to the handle or something and tie it to the drivers seat frame :D kinda a pain though :D lol
-
move the handle the opposite direction to open it and it should lock
-
really? sweet. that helps me alot, didnt know that about the older cars
-
yeah what chris said, push it towards the dash
