Title: Van Stuck In Reverse?

A lady at work has a 73 volks van and it is stuck in reverse . Any ideas on her dilemma?

Assuming it's not an automatic, and the linkage is intact, try rocking the bus back and forth while pushing the shifter forward.

May get it out but if things are wearing out in there it could happen again.
