Title: We Got It Home Too, 79 Vert
Post by: AirCooledRules on March 31, 2007, 09:16:55 PM: Well adding another to the stable, a 1979 Vert. We are the 3rd owners and i have all the reciepts going back to 1982 along with 4 keys, brand new top, bra and various things.

Her name is Penelope and this is always one of my favorite pictures to take when i get a new car.

Post by: slammedbus on April 01, 2007, 08:50:21 AM: I've never been fond of 79s as they were kind of cheaply built. I also don't really like the silver as I think it is going to be something that will really date the car. Nice find though..,...if your into that sort of thing

Post by: AirCooledRules on April 02, 2007, 08:47:06 PM: Im debating keeping it 100 percent stock or just lowering it and throwing on some fuchs and keeping the rest stock.

Or sending the 2 rear wheels out to greens to add 1\" and lowering and keeping the rest stock.

For now, it needs a new muffler/heater boxes, tune up, and gas tank flushed(surprise :blink: ).
