Shoppinggay what the !$@#%% what is up with these hacker spam spreading crap lately and does this site have protection to make sure they don,t crash this site .
P.S. Sorry if you really own a VW shoppingay but I doubt you do ! :lol:
So can one of you computer guys fill me in on this  :angry:

Yes it is spam and no there isn't much that can be done.

A ) The admin can turn on admin verification so new members need approval to join.
B ) The admin can go thru the members list and remove them as they join (which I do on my site, usually 5 or so a day)

Have a look at the members list and filter by members post count - you'll find there are hundreds of spammers that have joined and never posted.

Actually just did a count and 365 users that have joined have never posted.

After reading this I did some research - Chris give me a shout, I found a solution for phpbb that may work for you.

Thanks for looking into this hate to see this Bas#@$#mess up the forum unless they go and buy a VW and tke some intrest :lol:  :lol:
