Ok.. it's official as of 01-14-07... I am once again the owner of the all-praised Aircooled VW. Official transfer and virgin ceremony of the first drive completed with only one stall.
She is awaiting her chairot travel to seaport this week.
I solemly vow from this day on.. to love, cherish and please my VW... To care for her no matter how needy she be...
I promise to refrain from profanaties if and when she decides to need something repaired on the side of the #1 whilst I am late for school or work.
I promise to change her oil, adjust her valves, and check connections and seals regularly.
I promise to shop for her like any proud mother would.. Racking my credit cards up at any and all high end vintage parts boutique... Spending hours on the samba, ebay and shows, to find accessories that bring out her best.
I promise to wash her with the utmost of care.. over and over... And ENJOY getting wet with her.
I promise to drive her proud... remembering that I may be driving slower than everyone around me.. But.....
I will look fu*king HOT getting there.
This I vow.

She's coming in from Kelowna...
Actually I was going to post more details as I'd like to know her history.
The most I know right now is that she was in the lowermainland at one point... years ago. Then to Quesnel for a few years.. then to Kelowna where I found her.
She was orginally two tone.. Dark teal-aqua green on top and white on the bottom. That's all I know to date. I've asked the seller for more history, and I will post as I know more.
-
congratulations. it sounds like a very cool ride. you must be very happy.

ok.. I should have specified... Color before her current turquoise was the 2 tone.

Check the samba under search but I think you are right Silas no 2 tones solid colors only Way to go nice ride
-
The color in the gates is velvet green, no such thing as a 2 tone commercial from the factory, just blue, green, red, gray and white. Must have had a few paint jobs over it's life.
-
From what I can understand.. It was that velvet green color last time it was down here someplace.. Just want to know the history..lol.. orginal color I may get a better idea of when I go over her this weekend.. get more numbers, etc...

The M code plate behind the front passengers seat will have the original color and options.
