Title: Where Now For Parts?
Post by: 72vwtype2 on December 08, 2006, 10:41:34 PM
Now that Airspeed is gone. Where is everyone going for parts, Bow Wow (for who knows how much longer), CIP or other? Personally, I like my VW's stock, so I don't know if one place is better than another for such parts. I have not shopped and either one for a long time.

I started a thread a bit ago about AVR which is located in Abbotsford. I am going to give them a try and if it works out great otherwise I guess it's mail order for me. To bad CIP wouldn't open a small store front.

I thought CIP did open a small store front. or at least made it a little easier for the locals.

CIP is not so bad for picking up parts.
Usually they will go grab a part that I am interested in if I really need to see it. Or if I walk in, order and pay, 30 mins later I'm out with the parts ...
Even over the internet, I can order the part in the morning and by 1pm they are ready to pick up. I have never had a problem returning anything either.
I've been dealing with them for more than a decade and have always had good service and support from them.
I also really do wish that they had a store front though, always nice to fondle the parts... ;]
