Brian,
Remember the T-shirts that said \"Invest In Precious Metal\"
This is way better than putting the cash in the bank and receiving very little interest on the cash.

afaik, you should be able to still get a ride in that car. you'll just have a different pilot & powerplant.

Darren,

In the pictures it looks like there is no motor in the car.  Will the car have a motor in in when the next owner buys it?  One of Matt's turbo'd wonders maybe?  Or the 2387cc large IDA powerhouse that was in there when Buddy Hale built the car?

afaik, the car is being advertised for sale without motor, trans or wheels...but matt does state that for the right price he could set the buyer up with the full package.

Hey Russ,

Do you have any spare oval steering column tubes and brackets kicking around? I'm looking to get a set powder coated to match the engine.

Yeah, I might just have to take out what's in the car and ship it out to you for blasting and coating. Do you still have any of the grey that we did the engine tin in?

Joe Cormier is the proud new owner of the ex Buddy Hale 55. It will be put back together for this summer. Plans include a CB injected 2275, built trans (thanks Bruce), disc brakes etc. It's also getting an FF banjo wheel and FF BRMs(already installed). PS, Bruce, you may want to invest in an answering machine..the tubes are at your garage..

The neat thing about this car (the pseudo G looker) is that by popping a set of early alloys(it's 5X130), the car is old school from the exterior, stock body 68, bumpers, chrome etc. Under the decklid(which closes completely) lurks an EFI ,intercooled turbo, roller cam AutoCraft engine, hooked up to a built 091 bus box. Imagine 600HP and 2100 LBS, with suspension and brakes to handle it.. :o Both Joe and Darren Dilley keep me very busy.

Good!  The end porduct seems to be well worth your headaches and stress :P

That will be awesome!  Some big Brembo brakes/Porsche brakes I'm assuming? 2100 LBS with some 13\" 6 pistoned brakes will stop in no time!

Stephan

PS:  Hows your car coming along?

No, none of that \"my penis is bigger than yours\" unnecessary Turbo S brakes crap.
Just simple 83-84 single piston 944 brakes.

Actually,944 cross drilled/ vented rotors with Wilwood Dynalite 2 calipers on all four corners.
