Title: Tearing Down Engine Question

While pulling off the cylinder heads, (type 1 1600cc) 2 of the cylinders were loose, and I could actually wiggle them in the bore of the case. Is this normal ?

Yes.  Once they are clamped down by the head, they don't move.
