Is it a stock pressure switch? Have you tested another bulb out?

The bulb and the oil sensor were changed on Sunday and it was working. So either the light keeps burning out ( what would cause it ?)

Bad ground - check the bulb, if it looks good wrap a small piece of tinfoil around it and plug it back in. Might not be making a good contact around the holder.

tinfoil!! ayeeeee.
if it is a bad ground at the bulb, go to the back of the speedo and with the oil light pulled out, try gently squeezing the pronged holder closed a bit so the bulb fits in a little tighter and makes better contact with the holder.
i did this when my speedo light was flickering on and off and it worked like a charm.

A bit of sandpaper on the brass contacts will restore the conductivity. 40 year old brown brass doesn't conduct well.

and where is good old richard dean anderson today? probably permanently laid up in the intensive care ward for jerry-rigging so much crap together. :D
