Hey guys I am absolutly in desperate need of two woodruff keys and a wavey washer for the back of the fan. If anybody local has something they could spare please email me tonight. I only have transportation in the evenings and my bug is my sole driver. So if you have something that could help me out please let me know ASAP

I'm sure that I have some but I am at work until late tonight. Which Woodruff do you need?
-
I need two of them. They should be identical. One on the pulley end of the fan and the other on the fan end. I just need something by tommorow night. I can't get to airspeed before they close. But I can come early to late evening. James if you save my ass I owe you a lot lol.

-
I'm at work until 10:30, in North Van, Won't be home until 11:30ish. We have woodruff keys at work here, Find out the size and I'll see if we have them.
-
Argh. Thing is I don't have any to go off of. I lost four of mine!] Anybody know the size so James could hook a brother up?
and can anybody locate a fan washer for me?

I need to know the size of the hole :)
The smallest I have at work is 5/32 x 5/8 W x L is what I need.

Okay I will go find out the keyway size:)

Okay.. so its just under a 1/16 of an inch and about half an inch long. Looking for my centimeter tape measure right now. If anybody can confirm these measurements please do! Wish I had a micrometer.

1/16, so what I have here is useless. Sorry I couldnt help, I'd send ya to my place but my wife doesn't have a clue where anything is, and I'd have to go thru stuff to find them.
If you can't find some tmrw, I'll set them aside at home and you can pick them up from there tmrw while I'm at work, let me know.
-
Will do James.. Thanks so much. I'm right now pretty desperate lol.

Hey Kirin,
I set aside the \"wavy\" washer, but I was unable to find any woodruff keys. I know I have at least 20 of those damn things, just need to find em. Let me know if you still need some and I'll look again tmrw.
-
if airspped has them have geoff put them away for you and i will pick them up if still needed i'm only a few minutes away from them.
then i can leave them in my mailbox for you to pick up if you want.
i'm posting this quite late since airspeed closes in an hour or so.if you get the message post here and let me know.

Hey James. I picked up 8 woodruff keys from Bowwow. Guys is there anything else I can subsitute for the wavey washer? Like some alternator shims or at the worst(shiver) Loctite?
_kirin

Would you trust shims or loctite spinning up to 6000rpm like that? The \"wavy\" washer is designed to put back pressure against the bolt to prevent it from backing out. I wouldnt suggest it. If you want to make the trip to my place I can call my wife and see when she will be home.
-
Okay call wifey and find out when she will be home....
i better not screw up my car anymore..

Hey James before I make the trip I'm really going to search my engine compartment.. wish me luck.

Np just let me know so I can make sure the wife will be there.
-
She doesn't even have to see my mug.. she could leave it under the door mat lol.. k going to grab dinner then look into it.. Will let you know by 7:30..
