Title: 02 May: Exhaust & Front Suspension
Post by: jason_hamilton on May 03, 2006, 10:55:50 AM
We've gotten a prototype of our billet beam retainer from the fabricators, and the exhaust has arrived from the ceramic coating shop, so let's have a peek...

In addition to looking great, ceramic coating adds years to the life of an exhaust system and helps keep the exhaust pipes from radiating heat.

A big nasty exhaust makes a big nasty sound...

That little button on the collector portion of a header is a removable bung. You can take out the bung and screw in an 02 sensor for engine tuning with an air/fuel ratio monitor.

This is the Jamar aluminum beam installed. The king & link parts have been powdercoated silver, and you can see the red urethane bushings. Those are Carrera drag shocks, and that's a wide-five disc brake kit. All these parts are available from AirSpeed.

This is our billet beam retainer being test fitted. It will need a little material off the top for a perfect spacing match for the front body mounts.
