OH Hell Ya, I know a guy that rode one of those.  Great bike.  He used to launch some 7' plus off the top of the halfpipe with it.  stacyz from this forum can recall a tonne of details.  If memory serves he always rode HARO sports.  I rode an S.E. Racing Quadangle for a while (it was a friends) and had a Skyway chromoly.  Ahh yes those were the days.

Damn was I in good shape riding those all over hells half acre and back.

I traded mine in on a couch on wheels! Nothing like full suspension, who needs to climb hills when you can roll down them.

What's up James? Going to go racing in the old fart's class?
I used to race DiamondBacks, Harry Leary was my hero back in the day! I still have a mid 80's Kuwahara Laser Light with the big CW Racing bars and I might still have a couple of ACS Z-Rims back at th folks place. I'd love to pick up an SE Quadangle but people want big bucks for them these days. Maybe we should get a few of us to the track this summer and have our own old fart races!
Back on topic... if you don't mind spending a bit of money to get something cool, check out PD's Hot Shop on West 4th and Macdonald. They always have a few 80's BMX bikes there but expect to pay $200 and up. Another good spot is Cheap Skates on Dunbar. The prices on stuff there go down the longer it stays there. Sorry, I don't know of anywhere closer.
Screw preservation... hand me that Sawzall!

I would go to Ride On (Main St, Van), ask them when the vintage bike swap at Nat Baileys happens(usually mid summer).

Took me a couple years but found the one I was hunting for:
