I am about to install my split case transaxle into my car when I realized that the clutch operating lever is very stiff. In fact when I pull it back, with the assistance of a screw driver through the hole, it does not spring back. The return spring appears to be in good shape and in place. I know that the transaxle came out of a runner and has been sitting for a while. I thought of dousing it with WD40 and then trying to loosen it up that way. But before I do this are there any other suggestions/recomendations?
