Huh... very tempted! Concern I have is the fact it lacks papers. Does this mean its strictly scrap now or how does one re-register it and get it under their name? Been looking around for a 914 project car or something similar.. or else to do a kit car.

Hey bud , check in with the owner , PM him and he might have information essential to obtaining pics and back history as well . Once you have established what u have , then you can either do bill of sale or loss of title thre icbc ! Lots of knowledge around here to get you pointed in the right direction . If delivery is required , I can help you guys out in that area for cost !!!

Just got an email back from the guy, says its to be gone by tomorrow or it'll be crushed. Its not drivable because the rear calipers are missing. He's having 4 people coming over tomorrow to see it. First person with 600 gets it. I'd like to go over and get it right now if I could, problem is I would have to ferry over during my work hours. I had thought maybe I could get it this weekend...

I think if you know the market value and feel it's worth the $600 and you can afford it to fulfill your passion for it , then go for it , I PM you and yes , I can trailer it over for you to help out :)

Cheers Jerry

I would also like to say thanks, here, for helping out. Without, I'm not sure we would have been able to save this little gem from the machinery of car death.

Can't wait to see the pics. I'm now wondering, it does have basically a VW engine in it. Is that enough to qualify it for getting attention on the forums here? There are a few things that still need to be done to it, mostly minor fixes from what I was understanding. I'm more than likely going to need some help.

Ya, sorry. I was looking for a mid engine car for a project when I came across this. Just happened that a 914 was one of my possible options. I'm curious, were you looking to restore it like myself or just for the parts?

It could have gone either way. You just never know until you see the car, but for $600 you can make a few bucks even if you part it out to save other better cars.
