Hey....been loving the VW's for years...specifically pre 67 bus types. Had a couple buses of my own when I was living in Ontario. A 66 splitty panel/converted to camper and a 72 westy. I *attempted* a restoration of the 66 that was going slow....but steady. Learning as I went along. Problem was that I was a one man show....lots of trial and error. Lots of costly mistakes...
SO. Before I get back into trying another project I was hoping to hook up with a veteran around the shop...and do some serious learning. All areas....i did some mechanical (rebuild, steering box, brakes etc.) and some body. Electrical freaks me out.
I live in North Van so I would prefer to hook up with someone who needs a set of helper hands in this area or somewhat close to it. Driving to maple ridge on a regular basis is a bit of a trip...
