How do I install a tachometer on a 1964 Bug? What cable do I use for the signal?

Usually there will be a green wire that would go to the negative side of the coil and then hook up the red wire to 12v switch power and the black to a ground

Thanks guys, I ran tha wire to the engine compartment. I will intall it next week end.
