When I was in SLC, Art told me about the Copperhead disc he had made.
The flywheel is chrome vanadium steel. Your clutch's shoe is cast iron. Because of this, he chose to have the copper pucks installed against the flywheel, and the asbestos lining against the pressure plate.
Seemed to make sense to me.

That's the same thing Bill S in So Cal said about his car with the short arm operating a Stage 2 clutch. The long arm allows you to control the engagement more precisely.
