I installed rear disc's to my baja, already had front disc's.I still have the stock master and well I'm disapointed in the performance. What's the cheapest way to get a bigger master cyl in my baja.and how big do I need?

What do you have right now?
What is \"disapointing\" about the braking?

I have ghia 2 pin front disc's ,rear disc kit ,no e brake,& heavyduty brackets , from cip1,empi adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line, and the stock master. The pedal is quite hard, however theres not alot of braking power!I'd say less than when I had only front disc's and no valve. I've played around with the proportioning valve a little and  it's not very responsive.I have to really stand on the pedal to lockup the brakes.I don't want to have to lay out the cash for the CSP master $200 plus $100 for the installation kit!nor do I want to get involved with a new pedal assembly.I only installed the rear kit cause I thought it would less hassle to keep clean!

The proportioning valve is your problem.  It's job is to reduce pressure to the rear brakes.  That is not what you need.  A prop valve is needed when you have too much rear brake.

I kept my stock '67 m/c with 4 wheel disc brakes.  With a larger m/c, it requires more effort at the pedal.

Smaller master less pedal pressure more pressure exerted on the calipers longer travel on the pedal. The proportioning valve (like Bruce said) sould only be used if the rears are locking up before the front. The set up you have should be fine with just the stock dual master for beetle and no proportining valve. The more praking you can get on the rear of a Type 1-2-3 the better I say. Those front calipers on the rear are wayyyyyyyy better than the CB kits w/e brake as they are two larger pistons as opposed to the single slider smaller piston of the cb kits.
     My 2 cents with,
