Should I buy used tires or new tires?
« on: October 16, 2016, 03:22:59 PM »
My car is a 2008 Passat. I’m think about putting new or lightly used tires for my car. I looked up stores near my place and the prices are all beyond my budget. I don’t want to spend more than $500 for this upgrade. By the way, my neighbor try to sell me his used tires which are compatible for my car, and he is offering $480. I don’t know if I should get new tires or get my neighbor’s tires. He said his tires were brought last year from gz6rubber, and lightly used. Has anyone used tires from gz6rubber before? Their website looks legit. Any suggestion?

look at the tires, there should be a date of production stamp on them if they're newer than 2000 They don't all have to be exactly the same, but as long as they're close to each other you should be fine. (and as long as they're not old)

You can try the Dubberz.com site as they often have the size of tire you need for your car for sale. Same rule applies, watch for age.
