Title: 1972 Rare Westfalia Wolfsburg Edition?

I saw this classified add the Samba:

I have tried checking the Samba Bay Window "Forums" section and can't find any mention of such a model. I checked the various bus books that I have and again no reference to such a model.

Does anyone know if this was an actual model? It seems to be the sellers "creation", but not 100% sure.

seen a lot of campers.... never seen this before. Maybe on a 91 or 92 jetta or golf, but never that early a vehicle.

Good call Brian , it's from a late VW golf TDI etc and by no means for an early westy . It is a really neat crest but looks definitely added to the westy ;)

On Vanagons perhaps, but far from it on a 72, definitely some PO's instant junkyard find upgrade, a bit like a Tremclad overhaul without all the stinky fumes and cleanup afterwards.
