« on: July 22, 2009, 04:18:27 PM »
Hi , I am interest in buying Drop Spindles that would fit a 1973 Standard Beetle for a good price

                                                                                                                 Thanks  :)

Good question... I`m sure it is. You can call them to find out. They are still there for another 40 mins :)

I'd like to add that buying drum brake drop spindles is foolish.  Get the disc spindle and convert to discs at the same time.  If you don't have the loot, save up for a couple more weeks.

i've been driving on drum brakes with drop spindles 24/7/365 for the last 3 years and i'm allright. city, highway, mountains, road trips, snow, rain, hail, heat....

i understand the logic of buying the drop spindle/disc brake kit together...but to each his own!

 ;)

The difference is quite noticeable though! ;D

I've got a set in my parts supply...but at that price new, it's just not worth selling them.

You should give the guys at AVR a call and see what they can do on a set of drop spindles for you.
