Finished up welding in rear bumper panels and brackets.

Cut holes in new front apron for overrider bars and spot welded metal seal trim piece on.

Hey guys! thanks a bunch for posting those pics, ive been waiting to see some from its previous life!  :13:

Been doing lots of work just haven't posted anything for awhile so here are some pics of what I have done.

Finished up all the major metal work, just have some small things left to do.

Started working on the pan. Had a few small spots to weld up, but nothing major. Brought it all down to metal and then painted it with 2 coats of semi-black POR 15.

Started assembling all the parts I had already redone last winter!

I also managed to remarry the body to the pan this past weekend and bolt it all up. Very happy with how everything lined up just had to make some minor hole adjustments. Will post some pictures soon!!

So been pluggin away in my spare time, body back on pan.
Installed all the glass.  Re-did a lot of the wiring, all my electrical works now.
Gas tank rebuilt and installed, brakes are bled.
Rag top mechanism installed, was fun getting it sorted as I did not take it apart and there is not very much info on the web. Luckily I found a thread on Samba that gave measurements for bow spacing.
Just waiting for the front header bow seal and then I can put the canvas on.

Also got the engine disassembled and cleaned everything.  Painted all the tin and heater boxes. Reassembled and installed in car.

Getting pretty close to starting this thing up and maybe going for a little cruise.  :party1:

Need to lower the back another notch as its still sitting a little high with engine installed.
A few other little thing to hook up but overall pretty close after starting this project just a little over a year ago!  :1rij:

awesome work!! i'm loving the look you're going with!!

Need to lower the back another notch as its still sitting a little high with engine installed.

have you rolled the car forward and backward 6 feet or so while jouncing the rear end (easier with the bumper on)? i find it helps settle the rear swing axle suspension a bit. a good drive could help settle it too...might want to try that before adjusting it more right away...  :)
