Title: Gear Oil
Post by: Batan on August 30, 2010, 01:40:25 PM
I need to change the tranny oil in my '69 and I want to run synthetic, unless somebody gives me a really good reason not to that is. I was wondering if anybody has a recommendation on what weight to run in local climate and where to get it locally. I stopped by CT today and their selection of gear oils sucks. The Samba is useless due to endless bickering about GL-4 vs GL-5... after reading through some local(Vancouver) wisdom on that site, I'm confident with running gl-5.
Thanks!

Any good brand name 75W90 synthetic should work for you.
I put Lucas in the 57 and it works awesome while pushing the car around the shop. ;)
