Hey gang, Help needed if I'm going to get her to the show.
66 type 1 1300. Starts fine, warms up fine. Take her for a cruise all seems fine. But when she gets really warm and particularly under load (up a little hill ya know) she starts to hic up, miss, fart you know what I m talking about ?
Any suggestions ? Timing ? fuel starvation ?
Help please

My first guess would be fuel . Dirty tank and screen? Inline fuel filter ?
But don't rule out points and stuff either.

aswell, if it's happening when things get hot, it could be a case of vapour lock. the fuel is boiling and turning into a vapour before it has a chance to reach the carb and intake.
when it burps and farts, try turning it off and waiting a couple of minutes for the fuel to cool down and return to it's liquid state, and then see if it fires up and if the burps and farts are gone.

I just went through this with my 67, turned out to be vapour-lock. Check the fuel line and make sure it is not close to the intake manifold as it enters the engine bay. I moved mine away a bit and wrapped it in another line if larger diameter.
