Title: What is this Karma thing?

Just wondering what this Karma thing is all about? I noticed that it varies from person to person. Right now I'm at -1. Could someone tell me why. Did I offend someone or what?

Couldn't really care less, just wondering ;D.

Thanks. Got you back. I still don't understand the purpose for it. ???
