Spider gears
« on: June 05, 2011, 10:31:38 PM »
Went to install axles in new swing axle transmission (a AB i.d.) and found out new trans has 10 tooth spider gear where old trans was 11 tooth. What is the best thing to do....switch spider gears to 11 tooth or try and find 15 tooth side gears (where can I find 15 tooth side gears)? Thanks Thomas

Bruce will probably know if somebody locally  has 15 tooth side gears.
You can definitely get them from Rancho in California.
Are you using a Super Diff?

It's an insane world out there... and I'm proud to be part of it!

The 10 tooth spiders and 15 tooth side gears are a lot stronger than the earlier 11/17 gears.  Best is to try to stay with the later gears.
