Title: what is this for?

Have this next to my battery and the car used to have a heater under tea parcel tray that i removed.

Do i need this crap? Where coud i fin information as to what to do with the cables attached?

That's a control box/coil for a Webasto gas heater, test the wires for power and tape them up anyways or trace them and remove them.
