An Fitings

Has anyone had any luck using these on steel line or are they suited for AL line use? I'm wondering if they would seal with the steel 3/8 line I have run through the tunnel on the 56. I just need some way to hook up the AN fittings to it on either end.
If so I just need to find one that will work on 3/8 size line.

Or would I be better of using these and flaring the hard line?

Napa sells adapters to go from Pipe to JIC hydraulic fittings, which is the same as AN.  This is what I did.

Take an AN steel plug and drill the hole in it all the way thru with the correct size for your line. Now silver solder (or braze) it on, a propane or maps gas torch is plenty hot for this. I've made many EFI lines this way.

The second fitting with the sleeve will work on aluminum hard line without flaring, done it many times.  Why not just flare it if you plan on using steel line? It only requires one flare.
