Removing A Windshield..
« on: January 27, 2004, 01:32:23 PM »
Hey guys.
My buddy is hacking up his 69 and I'm trying to pillage as much stuff off it.
Right now the windshield is good and I'm allowed to get it out.. But heres the deal the rubber is seriously pooched and nasty and I almost expect if I bring out the razor blades they will bounce right of them. Any tips on how to get this beasty out? Worse comes to worse I wall hack off the windshield frame and fool around with it at home..

if the rubber is pooched, i would just hack the $#!t out of it with a razor blade. keep cutting bits of it out until there is no more rubber seal and the windshield should pop right out.

Unless the rubber is a few months old... cut it out. It's not like you'll reuse it.

If you are hacking it try this! want  to save  the rubber use a pro-tek windshield cup (like ten dollors)
and a little fantastic under seal. Then as you hold from the outside (with the suction cup) another person slowly pry's the inner seal forward and you should have it pop right out!

Removed allt he windows in my baby(seabert) got everything out doing it alone.. no broken glass or anything. Easy breezy. Cut the rubber inside and out and tap tap tappity tap and out pops the glass.
