I don't know what base you are using, but unless you've been told and read in a tech sheet otherwise, I'd have clear on it within 24 hrs.  All the base coats I've used wanted clear within 24.
Looks good!

All good.... Hit it with clear in the am. The super turbine fan is a little obnoxious alway shut er down by 1am 8) 8) 8) 8)

Shit is coming out super nice so far, paint I'm using is a valspar solvent base clear. Bit of trial and error but I think I've got my gun settings and technique dialed in......pretty shiny!!

Its nice when you can come back and clear it a day later, Ive done it many times. It really helps everything harden up nice if you're able to spray clear the next day. And then the glamour panels…. you think you're ready? ...You know how embraced you'll be if you get stalactites right down to the floor :o

Lookin good!
Sucks to your assmar.

Fook ya I'm ready for the money shot panels! :band1:

The only runs I've got so far are 2 little ones hiding up under the gas tank support....trying to hammer it up in there with the spray pattern skinned right up :16:

Outers are gonna be gravy! Really wanna mask it all off right now and get crackin but gonna let it harden up another day or so.....

Body is done!!!
Of course Had to un mask it before the last cloud of clear settled!!

Foam tape worked nice on the blend....probably give em a quick buff

Really stoked on how little dirt I managed to get in it....counted less than 10 and all but one of those are in the clear  I nibbed out a few in the sealer after about 45 mins spot sanding with 800 wet and that really helped! Product played real nice for me..... Def. got a system down now! Shit just flowed killer and coats melted together for me, ended up with barely any peel!

This bitch has a crapload of material in it! Loaded on 4 nice wet coats of clear to have some thickness to wets and and buff the piss out of er!

Doors hood and decklid tomorrow night and fenders Sunday.   :whoo:

Hell ya! Thx boys!
Brian you won't believe how light those bad boys are....and expensive lol_hitting
Kevin,  it's been down for a couple weeks and it still throws me off every time I walk in the shop....that bloody thing was hogging room for way too long (served it's purpose very well tho!)

I got all the carpet cut out for the rollbar and belt anchors to pass though.......that was stressful! Shit ain't cheap and there's no going back with a knife in hand!!
Got the killer NOS  :great: Airspeed parts "drag bar" back in....such a cool piece thx to Russ years ago
Just had the wife out for her first time helpin. ..I had to try and stretch the sunroof cover evenly back while she marked for the rear tension strip holes...turns out it isn't a straight line across fabric? Don't think she wanted any part in punching the holes through and retreated inside pretty quick; thanks babe....
Tonight might be semaphore night?

WOW!! That looks fantastic, and the fact that you did it all yourself in your garage (with small children..) is absolutley mind blowing. Great Job! wee_hee

Man you have outdone yourself. You are farther than I am after 7 years. Frick man I should just send my 62 over and you can wrap it up in a weekend right?

Saw the car in person last weekend, and the photos don't do it justice. You think the paint looks good in photos, holy CRAP does it look good in person!
