bought a beater w decklid off of Geoff at one of his swaps.
i was un able to find the weld in louvers to convert to a vert lid.
Talking to someone on the forum and they put me in contact with someone who made an actual stamping to do the work.i won't pass along his name at the moment as he was a little reluctant to do the job.
i just got a pic and so far it looks great can't wait

I've got a set of weld in vents that I am planning on putting in my W lid also. The stamping idea sounds intriguing (no chance of warpage). Let me know what you find out Russ.

That looks awsome Russ! I welded the ones in mine and pushed to have paint on it the week before the show. Let me know when you get the car back from paint....i'd love to see it...also if you need a hand with anything like sitting it back on the pan...etc.

I just went the same route as Russ, and 'am very pleased with the results of what Dan did to my lid. In the long run it's cheaper and less work then either buying an over priced genuine one, or putting in the weld ins and having to deal with warpage and fill.
If anyone is thinking of doing a vert W lid this is the hot ticket! B)
