Sounds like a 73 beetle motor: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/bugchassisdating.php , is it 6 cylinder, or 4?

It's a 4... And clearly a vw engine. Lots of crome on it is all.
Car has front disc brakes and is in vary good shape. Not sure what it's worth but he's asking 3900?
