I will have all the posters and stuff out tonight after our meeting. The date is June 3rd (SAturday) from 10-3 awards are at 2:30. Would love to see some VW there. We will send some registration forms down there somewhere for those that want to come. I think James Buchan is staying at the Holiday Inn for those of you that would like to book somewhere else.

Address is 1641 30th ST NE Salmon Arm B.C. Again I will print up the poster tonight. Hope to see some, if not all, of you there. Kids would be PUMPED!!!

I'll be heading up in the roach. Probably not a bad idea to get a few people caravaning up with a handful of parts and tools each just in case.

I'd like to join up with someone travelling up. I cannot get away as early as James probably  -  3 or 3:30 would be the earliest. Anyone heading out then? Is there a list started somewhere else?

Sounds like a Friday night "cruise" is in the works. I'm planning on taking the van up and would really prefer to go in a pack. Keep posting till we come to some times etc.

i've got some questions.

what does sass stand for?

how long is the drive to salmon arm in an acvw?

is there a good place to camp or a field to sleep in? (i'm serious about the field  ;) ).

if one were to sleep in said field, is there a nice swimming hole close by that one could "shower" in? (again, i'm dead serious  B) )

i just cant stop thinking about summer and a cruise to the slightly interior of bc sure would be nice.

i would be up for an acvw caravan.

Silas there are a few nice camp sites in town and the lake surrounding salmon arm would take you more than a day to cruise around the whole thing with all the arms and inlets.

If you want a campsite  there are a few

Try Glen Echo 250-832-6268
or
Pierre's Point 250-832-9588
or
Sandy Point 250-832-3703

We are using this show as a fundraiser for the highschool autobody program. We are one of only two full tim high school programs left in the province. I am trying to get us some $$$$ for a measurement system.

If you book at one of these sites, post it on here so that others know where some ACVW gearheads are going to be.

Hope to see you there.

Oh ya and the drive up in my 69 T2 camper with a 1500sp was 5 hours taking it real easy over the coke.....If your not in a rush take the canyon one way. Real nice drive.

Just to touch base on this.
Who's going? What's everyone driving? Where's everyone staying?
I'm gonna do the campsite thing so if anyone wants to get a little partyin' in on the friday night I'll be the gracious host until until they kick me out.
Either that or we can all raid Jay's place and litter his place with empties! He told me it was ok!  :P

It looks like everyone's good to hit the road early-afternoon so I'm going to shoot for that as well.
Let's get a list going here for the caravan and a time and place to meet up at to hit the road.
I think Abbotsford would probably be a good place to meet up. How about that coffee shop with the old split-bus out front off of McCallum Rd? Say 3:00 roughly? Will that work for everyone?

They are acrylic trophies with the school logo and the category that you win etched into them Black bases. Can't remeber exact sizes.  Best of show is a bit bigger than the rest.
