In my 2332 I just ran regular German bearing throughout except for my Chevy rod bearings which I bought at napa. Thats all you need unless you already have them

i was just curious because i just saw them in the catalog. thought the idea of having the split number 3 bearing could come in handy during mock up.

anyone else have experiences with this?

I'm not sure what the point of them is , only thing I can think of is , a
race motor may be torn down very often for inspection and with these
bearing you would not have to pull the gears off the crank every time.....?

i'm glad they are avalible that way now ,saves me buying 2 sets of bearings,
i think its a great idea ,for me i always rebalance with all gears and keyways on,as well as when you are mocking up your motor it makes life a breeze.
i don't now what they are worth in comarison too 2 sets of bearings, but i will look at it very soon once again.i say if your motors agart and the price is reasonable it won't hurt too have a extra steel backed bearing set in there.
