Hey Matt, you should race your bus, I could use another case of beer. It better not rain next weekend because James needs to be shown a lesson in driving and how one shouldnt beak off. As far as a real car, did you get rid of that old rust bucket in your garage and pick up something else James? As far as Kevin is concerned its not even worth commenting about. Super beetle HA!

James, be a nice guy and go help out 66split with his motor. Face the facts, your car wont be done, at least you can say you helped someone else get their car ready. All 3 of us have dug ourselves a huge hole, but I wont be the one holding the shovel! ;)

Nope, only 6 more days until I collect on the beer, who wants to help me drink it? I'd offer some to brian but we all know how much of a light weight he is!

Heck ya

James thinks he has a powerful motor with a light car ( not really that light)  ( don't tell him the cam is way big for a 1914cc motor with the little heads he has on them his power is going to start at 6000 rpm but the heads wont breath past 7000)

Brian has big $$ into his motor and it most likely isn't tuned very well to make big power as he doesn't drive it much he will probably either melt the tires on the line or bog it and stall from trying to hard.  Then he will have to spend more money on trying to make it faster after he gets beat by a small motored superbeetle

That just leave ME!!!!! to win it all.  It looks like I will be handing out all the winnings (beer) because I don't like the stuff.

I can hardly wait

Everyone will want a T4 in their car and then and I wont be the only one around here with one , and then we can start a T4 club , and then we................. ohhhhhhhh I really  do have friends honest.

Watch for the free beer on Friday.

Small Heads? Last time I checked 42x37.5 Hand port and polished by Pat Downs ALA Cb Performance weren't considered small.....Maybe the thousands of performance heads that come out of his shop are crap according to Kevin.....gonna be alot of VERY fast bugs running his heads mad that they have to change because of you Kev.... And as for the cam, it's perfect for the heads/ carbs/valvetrain I am running, and so what if I rev it to 8000, its made to handle that :!:
As for the free beer, the only thing free that night is the tissue I will be handing you and Brian for your failed attempt to beat a non stroker.
And speaking of Brian, he sure is quite, kinda like he will be on friday at mission.....

ohhhhhhhhhhh touchy subject.

Your 33mm  intake size is a little small and only 1 mm bigger than stock,  the truth hurts,

You're not having second thoughts yet about getting beat are you?

I'm sure Geoff will console you after your butt whooping on Friday, just remember to not bend over when getting more klenex, Geoff has been known to do   \"STUFF\"

Yup velocity is king, we'll see.

So Brian hasn't mentioned what size motor he has or what he has for parts  in it with what kind of heads and port work.

What you got Brian.............

James those heads of yours are pretty small compared to what ive got.(44/38) The motor is a 2221cc. fk89cam,  p&p heads, waterboxer pistons(94mm) (this is where it gets interesting) vanagon rods, 9.7-1 compression, 48 idfs, steel staight cut gears, pertronix ignition, Transmision done by Terry Hoogstins, with super diff, welded gears, close ratio 3rd, heavy duty side plate. I pick the car up today Mikey says you dont have much of a chance either! Kevin & James should spend less time on this forum and get their cars ready! tick tick tick...................

Hahahahah.......Oh oh,  Brian your cam pulls way to high, you say ported, what kind of flow???  I'll give you the benifit of the doubt and say 150 cfm @.500 unless you have SE's which are ported then possibly  180 @500 if you have a stage 7 port.  Power below 4000 will be non existant in your motor, and if you bog on the line.... see ya!!!   You have boat anchors for rods and the wasser piston uses a 24 pin which is very heavy and the piston itself is a boat anchor, You are going to spin a rod bearing for sure if you see 6500+ rpm which is where the power is from your cam.  The only way you are going to beat me is by pulling 6000+ rpm's +  Next questions is will your motor stay together and are you willing to push it that hard?

I had 24 pin pistons but went with 22 pin pistons instead because it saved 370 grams per rod/piston combo, which is huge when turnig 6000 rpm+

I'm going to waste you for sure.

Hmmmmmmmm let's see

-3 suitcases- 2 duffle bags 2 lawn chairs bag of kids toys box of food, 5 people,   8000  feet climb in the heat,  4 hour trip 1 way , comfortable ride, and can pass on the hills.

yup that would be why I picked a super and a T4

I would be ashamed for you to get beat by my car,   I'll ask what everyone likes for beer since I will be passing it out as I don't drink the stuff.

No but how about in the drive way, putting in a mallory cdi and 2 step a couple of days ago, CRAP the car won't even start or run and I disconected everything and only have the points and coil hooked up and still nothing.   problem is I don't have time to fix anything right now as work is to busy.  The mallory fried something and I have to find out what it was.

I'm not sure if I will have it going again for the Gene berg cruise wed night, Thursday is my only day I could book off, and Friday I'm at Childrens hospital all day for my daughter.
