if your lookin for a little more highway, my trans  has a 1.04 4th with a 4.12 ring and pinion, with the tall tires on the back, its really not THAT bad on the highway, i can cruise at  60-65 comfortably, and 70 if i really want to get there....
it doesnt pull all that great in 4th but i think its a great compromise between a full race close ratio and a stock 4th...

the box that's in it is a 3.88r+p, 4.25 1st, 2.54 2nd, 1.54 3rd, 1.37 4th. I punched it into a gearing calculator and 60 mph works out to 4000rpm so yeah it looks like back roads for me ]:(

I think we all agree about the street car/race car debate. The big difference locally is the price and availability of C16. I think it's over $20 a gallon and relatively hard to get. $200 to fill up a beetle..ouch. :o

james seeing for some god unknown reason you have decided to deliberately toss yourself into the \"WOK\" to be FRIED ,please let me know what performance magic you have performed that would make you think you have a chance.

p.s the \"WOK\" aint happy in the 11's anymore :D

Why do you need details Jim - SCARD?????

My sights are set on you and your frying pan... just be ready and don't make excuses.

I always like to put a little something on table - what's your drink we'll put a bottle of it up for grabs, I'm not much of a drinker so make sure it's something that I can share when I win it.

I've done a few minor things to my car over the winter, let's go for a run and see how they work...

I wanna see Jamie and Dannyboy, Hulk vs Dilley, kroc vs the wok,  Caswell vs Brian......those would be some good races!!!

Would be cool to see a shootout at the end of the season with guys that are close in times and comparable cars.....would be a battle of wits and driving ability.

I just took apart my 84mm full circle DMS 2332 engine for some freshening.

Hmm make it mild with a split duration nitrous cam for my \"dialed in performance\" progressive nitrous kit  :)  or just make it 14:1 drag engine....oops I mean a \"real\" street car that runs on dedicated RACE  gas LOL!!

For the street,  pump is where its at unless your turbo or nitrous.

I agree.

I could not do it my self. When it come down to it, I am very competitive and I would have to get the best time. That why I choose to watch and celebrate the winners. Besides, I can not afford it.

higher octane fuels have the potential to create more power if the motor is built to handle them and is tuned properly. alot of forced induction motors wouldnt last very long at the track without race gas, they would ping themselves apart.

how much? just check the actop 10/20 list and look at the numbers that guys running pump gas and the guys running race gas are turning.

Kinda defeats the purpose of seeing how fast you can go in a turbo'd singleport 1500.....
