Flanged Crank
« on: December 19, 2007, 07:24:42 PM »
me again! i have bugpack flanged crank with bugpack flywheel held together with bugpack bolts.when we put the clutch disc in and measured a few things we found that between the heads of the bolts and the rivets holding the center of the disc together there's about 5 thou clearance.one good burnout and there will be sparks flying.i talked to bugpack and they said they'd never heard of that before.anyone had any experience finding the appropriate disc?bugpacks catalog says nothing on the subject.thanks....mike
what can possibly go wrong?                                                                     64ghia

Just grind the bolt heads and you can even take some off the rivets , I do this on my race engine with the same problem . Make sure to use thread locker on the flywheel bolts
