Title: Engine Power

I got a long block that i will like to rebuild. I am still trying to figure the cost involve.

In the mean time my (current motor 1600 dp)header muffler right tip shows a bit of oil. However, The engine has plenty of power and does not show as burning oil ( no blue smoke.) My left tip has black carbon inside. I believe according to records the engine has around 60, 000 miles on it. Does that mean that i need a head job?

Anyone has any idea how much time i got to rebuilt the other one or is this urgent?

Check your compression. It will tell you more than anything.
