Dang.....a couple of sunroofs.Nice!
How are the sunroofs for operation?
My old cables kept cracking the plastic covers when the cracked coils wound through the center housing. Now they're too kinked and broken.

The 69 works perfect, the 72 was full of Wisteria  and works but not great yet, I only spent one afternoon cleaning it up. it'll be a winter project.

Well, done a pile of work since this. New wiring harness is in hooked up, rebuilt front beam with new adjusters, sway bar bushings, doglegs welded in, porsche gauges hooked up. Rest of the body work is starting up in the next couple weeks.

I'll post up some pics when I get a chance J. IT is a nice conversion. Doesn't look aftermarket. They are basically 914 gauges. I really like the look. I think Geoff did the same on his bay window.

It's all torn apart at the moment as I do some repairs to pretty much everything.

When I bought it the Van had been sitting outside since 1999 and had lot's of rust stains and the interior had been damp for months warping all the interior panels.

The damage in the back corner is just superficial as there is no actual rust thru just surface rust from the paint chiping offfrom a dent.

IN the above pic ypu can also see the dent in the front door and below, working it out.

I'm trying to fit it in between a few other family commitments that weekend, not sure if we'll show yet but I'll definitely come by to visit and pillage the swap meet :ninja1:

Not too much time for buswork on my own projects lately, still have the 71 as my daily

Looks like a 68 rear view mirror arm to me with "trigger" door handles. Late 68 perhaps?

Maybe, the mirror does look 68, but the door handles, insides of the doors, dash eyebrow and wipers say 69, hmmm... It's like an anti version of those promo pics where an early bus is made up to look later, like the 70 with the new style 2 tone paint in the 71 brochure.

Bus is going in for paint on the weekend.  Top half and bumpers  are being returned to the correct colour - Mexico Beige. New window/door trim and jalousie windows as well.
