Well, I've become curious enough to try the bay lifestyle, thanks to Andrew on the Island!

Congrats Brian!! You can't go wrong with a 72 bus :whoo:

Cool. Nice to see that the only water you need for your bus is to wash it.

Another one rescued from the Island. Welcome to the Lower Mainland "Airspeed Bay Crew". Not many of us so one more in the fold is great news.

First attempt at wheel well cleaning tonight. Coming out great!

Hi Brian,
That looks like a clean bus, you never know what you get when you start removing 40 years of road grime and undercoating. I am going through the same process but at the other end of the bus - the engine compartment.
What chemicals and tools are you using? I have been using USC Grease, Wax and Silicone Remover, as well as, a WalMart product called Super Clean. I use rags soaked in these chemicals and tooth brushes, needless to say it is slow and tedious. But the results have been good. Are you going through the same struggles?
Thanks, Phil.

soap, water, CLR, bug & tar remover, cut polish & wax, elbow grease. it's dirty, but solid! Luckily in this case, they didn't undercoat with a ton of goop. I know it's only 40 plus years old, but original survivors are tougher to find. Really happy with this one! ;)

Wow great work

the results of your application are still being tabulated by the Clubaplitabulator 4000, but unfortunately like most things in this club...it does what it wants, when it wants...and right now it's either at the beach enjoying a cold one while the sun sets or cruising with buds (we forgot to activate it's locator beacon so it's exact wherabouts are unknown)! ;) :)
seriously tho...nice looking bus that looks to have alot of potential. should be a great project and fun camper for the fam! keep us updated!!

How's this coming along?
