Das Volks is taking place on Aug 5-7, with racing at Race City on Friday, a cruise on Saturday, and the show on Sunday.
Tow your car and try your luck bruising V8 egos at Race City.
Drive or fly, it's worth the trip to Calgary.

The Holiday Inn on MacLeod trail (4206 MacLeod trail south).
Here's the low down:
- $89.95/ night + 11% hotel tax (Works out to $99.84)
- Reg rate is $109.95/night
- choice of a 1 king bed, 2 queen beds or 2 double beds in a room
- offer valid until show date (no cut off)
- no limit on number of rooms that apply to special rate.
The hotel location is great for the show. It is in the north east corner of the intersection of where you have to turn off of macleod to get to the show. If any of you guys are interested here is the contact info.
