Drums Turned?
« on: July 04, 2020, 07:10:51 AM »
I need to get my beetle drums turned. I went to a local brake shop and they were unable to turn my rear brakes because they did not have the proper "jig".

Are there any decent brake shops in the lower mainland that can still turn beetle drums?

Thanks.

The Lordco Machine Shop in Maple Ridge did mine no problem. I had them de-greased, steel shot, and turned there.

I got my 63 bus front & rear drums turned at budget brake & muffler on sw marine drive. that was about 4 years ago tho, you may want to call first to see if they can still do it.

you could try Big O tires on Lougheed in Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows.  I know that he is one of the only guys around that can balance wide 5's.  should be able to turn drums too.
