Forget what I said about the insects.....   :( The painter wanted to blow it on early Fri when there's no wind.  Well, that's when the bugs are aplenty.  They are super tiny, and at one point I bet there were about 30-40 kamikazi bugs entombed.  Oh well, it is shiny, and all one colour.  Assembly happens Sat.

Sorry, no pics since this www place is too stupid to communicate with my camera.

I just sent Chris the final pics.  one showing the painter applying the first coat, then the finished job 2 hrs later.
The last pic is from Sunday after I got all the external bits back on.

Those are stock spindles wiht the beam dropped all the way down.  When loaded, the beam is cranked all the way up, and it sits lower than that!

BTW G, found Santana.  only 1 block from my hotel! Unfortunately, Yadira declined my offer to take her home with me. :)
