After fighting with this thing the whole weekend I FINALLY
got the front dropped and some new shoes equipped. I brought the front down one inner spline and installed the 195/45's I picked up from steiner on some factory Porsche 914 steel wheels after I blasted and painted them. I wanted to keep the look simple so I just painted the wheels cast iron grey and used the black centre caps and lug-bolt covers. I like the look of the Porsche steelies. They look just like the factory VW steelies but they're 5.5\" wide and have the proper off-set to fit lowered type-3's properly with absolutely NO rubbing even with the wider tires. On the back I had installed James B's old BFG 205/60's from his beetle. The back needs to come down in a BAD way as the rake is just a little too \"Joe Dirt\" for my liking. Also installed the H-4's as well. Next up a \"neighbour hater\" exhaust system in the form of a baffled stinger and a \"new\" set of seats that I still need to pick up.
Nothin' flashy as this car is FAAARRRRR from it and I live in Surrey so I don't need a reason to be broken in to.
Cheers!
