Fresh regrind and fresh rods + bearings. - $175.00

Hi flow oil pump + cover - $25

Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.

:D

heh heh. yep, it is so. I'm a HUGE fan of the cars but not a fan of the motors. I'm on #9 now and I'm not pissin around and blowin a wad on a "hi-po" air-cooled motor when I could get more reliability and horsepower out of a watercooled for half the price. I've got a really good fabricator and plumber on board for the build so it only make sense to me. It's something I've always wanted to do anyways.

Okay all you purists - let the flaming begin! :mullet:

Sounds like fun actually, Duane had a kickass conversion in a baja, looked really good hanging off the end of it.

James, there's a Baja just as you described, sitting in my neighbor's driveway - most likely Duane's old Baja.
Motor runs great, lotsa torque. Car handles like crap. No weight on the front wheels - R&P steering has messed up the geometry
totally. It just skids around the corners when you can get any traction on the front wheels. Bump steer and Ackermann must be way out.

But the motor sure runs nice  :P  :P  :P

dude, just because you are a fan of watercooled doesn't mean you should put water in an aircooled.  NUMBER 9?????  It's the only guess I could come up with.....

There are some good pics of it somewhere on this forum or on kafer kraft forums. Cale has it parked up on the large rock in his front yard. That motor does look good hanging off the back of the bug though. there is a guy in maple ridge ( up on thornhill ) he makes thoes adaptors, his name is Andrew Shue.

Sorry G S ,  I came on a little strong there.   Just seemed like you where have reliablility , power and cost issues with your aircooled . If that was the case many of us here would be willing to help work them out.

So come on everyone !! Buy his stuff!!

No worries.... :D
As for the reliability thing: When you drive like I do it's always an issue! With that wc'd thing in the back I'm sure I'll be sweeping my transmission up with a dust-pan after a few days! Oh well, thems da brakes.

Bump...

Someone buy my parts... need to get rid of this stuff. No space.
